Synard /sɪ́nərd/ (male)

Early objections to this name disappeared after the standard spelling was altered from the original, ‘Sinard.’ Apparently the mere presence of the three-letter combination, ‘SIN,’ was enough to drive away the more religious and superstitious of parents. The updated spelling, which goes a long way to bringing out the name’s inherent similarities to not just Leonard, but also Reginald and Sinclair, has caused Synard to be one of the most popular baby names of the year.
“If my boy Synard were a wine, he’d be a bitter red.”
