Chiselle /tʃɪ̀sɛ́l/ (female)

Aside from a slight variation in spelling, Chiselle and Giselle are identical in almost every way. Phonetically, the only difference between the two is that one voices a sibilant fricative that the other does not. Despite all this similarity, however, one name is clearly superior to the other. Chiselle is the obvious victor, maintaining its ties to the speed and grace of the majestic Gazelle while also adding the cold efficacy of a chisel to the mix. This name was featured on the cover of April’s issue of Baby Naming Monthly, an honour that it surely deserves. Expect to see a lot more from this little firecracker.
