The name ‘Avatar’ took the world of baby naming by storm after the immense success of the movie of the same name. Despite its popularity, the name was critically reviled, and rightfully so. While the name was undoubtedly aesthetically pleasing, its attachment to the James Cameron film’s empty commercialism rendered its beauty inert.
